How do I know if a page is secure?

On a secure page such as the payment within our checkout, the URL (web page in the address bar) will begin with "https" and there will be a padlock icon at the bottom of the page for most common web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox,  Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, or at the top for Opera browser. Some browsers will also change the address bar colour to yellow.
